Case Studies
James Wilson is a researcher, educator, mentor, and consultant. He received his Ph.D. in Statistics and Operations Research from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He has a broad background in statistics, biostatistics, and data science with expertise in statistical machine learning, social network analysis, brain imaging analysis, and health statistics. He has over 40 published manuscripts, two patents, and multiple software packages written in these research areas. James has over 10 years of experience teaching statistics and data science courses as a professor, has led consulting projects with multiple tech companies in the Bay Area, and has worked as PI and statistician on grants from the National Science Foundation and the National Institutes of Health. He co-founded StatZHub to broaden the accessibility of statistics and data-smart decision making.

James Livsey, Ph.D.
James Livsey is a seasoned researcher with expertise in time series analysis, seasonal adjustment, hierarchical Bayesian methods, privacy, and stochastic processes. He received a Ph.D. in Mathematical Statistics from Clemson University. He has consulted with multiple world banks and secondary education departments in the D.C. area. He has also sat on Ph.D committees across the country. James has over a decade of experience in post-secondary education in statistics and data science. Throughout his career he has given dozens of statistical and programming short courses spanning half-day conference workshops to week-long team trainings. He co-founded StatZHub to share his passion of creating computational and statistical solutions to collaborative problems.
